University of Alabama at Birmingham Collat School of Business

Our team provided audio and visual design services for the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s new Collat School of Business. This project encompassed 107, 411 ft² facility spaces including learning environment spaces, dean’s suite board room, instructional design space, classrooms, interview rooms, computer labs, trading lab (mock exchange), and various conference/meeting rooms. Classrooms were equipped for lecture capture and distance learning: either through H323 codec-based video conferencing or web-based (Skype, Zoom, etc.) video conferencing. 

The Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is expanding so it can provide a new destination for business education in the Birmingham region. The building is home to an incubator for ideas, with the goal of transforming business students into leaders and attracting the very best talent in teaching and research.
