John Burroughs, STAR Building Commission
Our team provided engineering services for the John Burroughs School in St. Louis, Missouri.
We provided commissioning (Cx) services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and systems for the new science, technology, and research (STAR) building for John Burroughs School totaling approximately 124,000 ft². The new facility is a 3-story structure with a central open stair/atrium and will house Sciences, Practical Arts, Shared Classrooms, and a Library. The campus has a central plant that serves the new building.
Cx services were delivered in accordance with the Fundamental Commissioning requirements defined by the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) program for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Services will include:

Development of a Cx Plan

Review of the owner’s project requirements (OPR)

Design team’s basis of design (BoD)
Verification of equipment and system installation and equipment and system test protocols. Intermediate progress reports were issued.
A Cx issues log will be maintained and a final Cx report was issued.
