Terminal A Enhanced Parking Structure

Introba spearheaded the design of the Premise Distribution System for Terminal A's Enhanced Parking Structure as part of DFW's Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program.

The project posed significant challenges, covering over 3,000,000 ft² and accommodating 7,700 spaces. The system integrates over 20 communication rooms with backbone fiber connections to Terminal Main Communication Rooms, facilitating essential functionalities:

  • Intelligent parking guidance systems to streamline parking

  • Blue Light Emergency Stations on each stairwell level for enhanced safety

  • CCTV surveillance for general monitoring and emergency station viewing

  • Access control ensuring security for communication rooms

  • Wi-Fi accessibility for passenger convenience, enabling check-in, TSA checkpoint queues, and local destination information upon arrival.

Overcoming obstacles, including the sheer scale of the structure and ensuring seamless integration of diverse systems, required meticulous planning and execution. Despite these challenges, the project succeeded in delivering a cutting-edge parking experience. DFW's website praises the result, highlighting the intuitive parking guidance system and additional amenities such as Wi-Fi accessibility and improved lighting. The project's success underscores Introba's expertise in tackling complex infrastructure projects and its commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experience and safety.
