Summit Foundation Tenant Improvement

Washington, District of Columbia
United States
Summit

This sustainable office improvement aimed to mirror the Summit Foundation’s strong commitment to creating a sustainable world.

Introba (formerly Integral Group) worked closely with the design team to generate the required documentation and vetting for the Living Building Challenge Materials Petal. The project is also targeted to achieve LEED v4 Platinum and the WELL Building Standard.

In addition to material redlist vetting, Introba performed MEP engineering services, energy modeling, and LEED and sustainability consulting. The project includes high-efficiency LED lighting and controls, daylight optimization with automated shade controls, glass for internal walls of perimeter offices for maximized daylight penetration, and an educational display that allows occupants to monitor building performance and comfort conditions. A POU electric water heater for efficient DHW production helped to achieve a 40% reduction in water use.
