The Rise
The Rise offers a unique living experience for those seeking a range of amenities below their doorstep.
Located in the heart of Vancouver’s uptown Fairview community, the Rise is a 605,000 ft² sustainable mixed-use retail and residential development sitting on an entire city block. The development consists of three levels of retail space leased to major national retailers: Save-On-Foods, Winners/HomeSense, and The Home Depot. Above the retailers sit 92 live-work rental lofts surrounding a 20,000 ft² green roof and a community garden.
Introba (formerly Integral Group) provided mechanical services for this mid-rise building. Key innovative mechanical features include a water source heat pump system with closed circuit coolers and condensing boilers located in the retail component of the building. This system allows water as the heat-transfer medium in heating and cooling systems. As a result, the building uses 31% less energy than the Model National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (MNECB).
