MSG Sphere in Las Vegas

Our Security team was hired directly by The Madison Square Garden Company as their security consultant for the new 875,000 ft² MSG Sphere located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and security consultant peer reviewers for the Sphere in London England. The new state-of-the-art facility will be home to a 19,000-seat fully immersive and interactive entertainment venue. The MSG Sphere will be equipped with 19,000 by 13,500 resolution LED screens which will spread across the interior of the venue. The exterior of the venue will feature a screen display which will allow those who are outside of the venue to see what is going on inside. The arena will primarily host awards shows and concerts, in addition to other entertainment events. Once complete, the venue will be the largest spherical building in the world at 875,000 ft². 

As the Security Consultant to MSG, we were tasked with providing a full threat and risk assessment (TARA) of the Sphere and surrounding site. Additionally, we worked with the client and architect in developing physical security protective measures that supported the programmatic and architectural elements of the venue’s overall design. This included the venue structure, the entire site, parking lots, and the ¼-mile elevated pedestrian walkway that connects the Sphere to the Sands Expo Center. The site design, roadways, and all vehicle access points, were modified to meet the TARA requirements and allow for the best standoff and operational flexibility.  

Our services for the project included the TARA, development of blast mitigation strategies, site physical security measures, Joint Operation Center, a vehicle threat vector analysis, the design of site-wide access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, emergency intercom, and visitor management systems. We will also provide security services throughout the Bid & Award and Construction phases of the project.
