Creffield Medical Centre

The property is set over two floors and includes a pharmacy on-site, general practitioner and nurse consulting rooms, training and treatment rooms, administrative areas, and a car park for patients and staff. The complete transformation has been achieved while still retaining a number of the original features of the building, including the original roof trusses, window openings, and external fabric of the buildings.

This work enabled the retention of the original high and open roof structure, providing the building with its key feature of high-level windows running along the spine of the building. This project achieved a BREEAM rating of “very good,” hand in hand with a carbon reduction of nearly 20%.

Introba (formerly Elementa Consulting) was assigned as checking consultants by GPI for this project, and duties included: reviewing the contractor’s design submission against the ER’s, attendance at progress meetings, installation inspections, witnessing commissioning, and defects and omissions inspections.
