Introba (formerly Integral Group) provided the AV design services for Westside Christian College’s Creative Industries Precinct.

Designing the facility for collaborative usage across various art forms, including music, film, dance, and drama. Therefore, despite having specific requirements for each group, the AV systems were required to provide flexibility in sharing content.

Introba worked closely with the college’s staff to design the AV systems to suit the user requirements, integrating both new and existing equipment into the final solution. Designing specific audio, video, and production lighting systems for the facility’s four production areas:

  1. The recording studio, which features a control room equipped with a computer-based high-resolution 56-channel audio recording system, complete with a monitoring system, expandable to immersive formats, and 24 dedicated microphone recording channels, with ties to the four music, practice rooms, and the ample central orchestral rehearsal space;

  2. The film and television teaching hub, which included three 4K-compatible video editing suites and an associated green screen

  3. The drama production theatre

  4. The dance rehearsal and teaching space, which double as small musical performances spaces

The design team achieved audio and video content sharing between these areas and the planned future auditorium via the use of Dante multi-channel audio network and 4K matrix switched SDI distribution backbones. Utilizing these state-of-the-art backbone technologies future-proofed the installation for technology developments and facility expansions and provided the students with access to industry-standard workflows.

In addition to the AV systems for the four main production areas within the facility, Introba also designed video projection systems for the film and television teaching room, complete with Dolby Atmos immersive audio, and the music teaching room.

The school's feedback on the facility’s functionality, particularly concerning the AV systems, has been extremely positive.
