Waterton Lakes Visitor Centre
We provided building envelope, commissioning, energy modeling and sustainability consulting services for this project in Waterton Park, Alberta, Canada.
The new Waterton Lakes Visitor Centre replaced the original building lost to the wildfire in 2017.
Our sustainability and energy performance groups were active early in the design stage, helping to guide the project’s sustainability strategy with the design and ownership groups. Our building performance team also validated the mechanical, engineering, plumbing, and building envelope designs against the owner’s project requirements throughout the design.
During construction, our team provided commissioning services to ensure that the owner’s project requirements were met, using infrared thermography to help identify envelope-related deficiencies.
The project achieved LEED v4 BD+C: NC Silver certification in January 2023.
