Transitioning from gas to electricity presents unique challenges for the existing infrastructure. It requires replacing the gas appliances and equipment with all-electric versions and upgrading the electrical infrastructure (main switchboard and substation).
Other infrastructure upgrades required to support the redevelopment included upgrading the fire services ring main and sewer system.
The early stages of the project involve master planning to accommodate future expansions, such as additional indoor pools and facilities. The team incorporated infrastructure sizing and layout considerations to support the venue's growth in the years ahead.
