Cathedral-Hill

Situated on the western edge of downtown, close to Ottawa’s most distinguished landmarks and desirable amenities, the 148,000 ft² tower encompasses 140 luxuriously appointed condominiums.

This mixed-use development includes a 21-storey residential tower and a podium building to house parking, townhouses, and space for the historic Christ Church Cathedral.

This project was delivered over two phases. Introba (formerly Integral Group) provided mechanical, electrical, and sustainable engineering services for Phase One – the design and construction of the $47 million podium, Cathedral interface, and residential tower.

The project is a candidate for LEED NC Platinum certification, and comprises a number of sustainable initiatives including rainwater reuse, energy recovery systems, and a high-performance envelope comprising double R-value glazing. Thermal comfort is provided throughout the building via a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system, further optimizing
the energy performance of the building. Preliminary modeling indicates the building will achieve 35% reduction from the 2007 ASHRAE 90.1 Energy Guideline.
