Introba provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the Boden UK headquarters in London, UK.
Boden’s newly refurbished office promotes communication and staff well-being through flexible, agile working and open-plan healthy spaces. The global clothing company has had successful market growth and required an upgraded and modern HQ to facilitate its current and future growth.
The existing refurbished and extended 1960s building now seamlessly connects to a large warehouse conversion at the rear. The warehouse incorporates two mezzanine levels wrapping around a central, triple-height atrium, forming the heart of the space. Tiered seating links the atrium to the adjoining floors and provides ample seating for the whole business to come together for events and large meetings.
The fabric-first approach improved the energy performance of the building, and a focus on staff well-being led to increased daylight levels, optimized air quality, and a more agile way of working. This reduced staff turnover by 30%, staff sickness down to less than 10%, and increased productivity.
