Marilyn Specht
As the US Sustainability and Wellness Consulting practice leader, Marilyn Specht is responsible for leading some of the firm’s most ambitious sustainability projects, directing the team’s strategy and financial success, and mentoring her colleagues.
Passionate about creating the most sustainable and healthiest buildings to enhance the built environment, the end goal for all of Marilyn’s work is catalyzing change and creating a true impact for the planet and for people. Marilyn often works directly with owners and end users on a national and international scale, setting sustainability and design standards, and guiding them in implementing sustainability programs and strategies across global real estate portfolios.
Marilyn has consulted on some of the largest, most ambitious projects in the world including Zero Carbon, Waste, Water, and Energy campuses and various Living Building Challenge, LEED Platinum, WELL, and Fitwel projects. Marilyn volunteered as the Chair of USGBC’s Location and Planning Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for the maximum possible term of five years and is currently involved in the LEED for Cities and Communities international working group and the Carbon Leadership Forum’s Atlanta Chapter.
