The University of Sydney’s Susan Wakil Health Building combines multiple health disciplines to translate research into education and clinical services.

Using the University’s sustainability framework, the team exceeded the initial sustainability targets, incorporating key sustainability features such as a 50kL rainwater tank and improved energy performance by 33.9% (in comparison to a reference building). All timber used on the project was either reused, post-consumer recycled, or FSC-certified or PEFC-certified timber, and 91% of waste were diverted from landfill.

Our ICT team implemented new technologies in learning areas, including lecture theatres, super-labs, climate chamber, biomedical gym, and simulation lab and room spaces. All simulation spaces have capture and recording capabilities to allow practice review and formal evaluation.

Introba (formerly Integral Group) completed the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, sustainability, ICT, and audio-visual services.
