Sunshine Coast University Hospital
Introba provided mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, medical gas, technology, and vertical transportation services for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Kawana, QLD, Australia.
Queensland Health engaged Introba (formerly Integral Group) to provide master planning and technical advisory services for the site infrastructure and engineering services for the $1.8-billion Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH).
The Sunshine Coast University Hospital is the first hospital delivered by Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in Queensland. Australia’s largest public health facility achieves a 6-Star Green Star Healthcare v1 Design and As-built rating.
In conjunction with Queensland Health, our technical advisors established the engineering and sustainability targets and reference design for the Public-Private Partnership delivery consortium. The project has demonstrated sustainability initiatives and can be successfully integrated within a complex health precinct to reduce energy consumption and enhance the internal environment for patient and staff wellbeing.
