Manukau Health Park

Manukau Health Park redevelopment will provide additional specialist healthcare services across radiology, renal, breast care, ophthalmology, and women’s health departments, as well as additional operating theatre capacity to Middlemore Health Network to serve the South Auckland, New Zealand region.

This site-wide expansion includes refurbishing three new buildings to the existing hospital. The project will expand and enhance the resilience of the existing electrical and technology infrastructure, including new substations, standby generators, and diverse fibreoptic backbone cabling across the site.

While COVID-19 travel restrictions exacerbated these complex design challenges, Integral Group worked closely with our New Zealand-based partner, Cosgroves, to adapt, collaborate across borders, and successfully deliver the Business Case and Preliminary Design phases. This virtual design team, located across two countries and four offices, gained praise from the lead consultant and end client through initial work with an assurance of smooth delivery of future stages.

Introba (formerly Integral Group), in conjunction with Cosgroves, is providing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, technology, medical gas, and sustainability design services for the $200-million NZD expansion of the Manukau Health Park.
