Introba (formerly Integral Group) was retained to evaluate the condition of the existing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for the existing 485,000 sq. ft. Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.
Systems were evaluated to determine their suitability for continued use in the near term and potentially for the longer term if the building was renovated or expanded. The existing main hospital facility is approximately 485,000 gross ft² and currently includes diagnostic and treatment areas, administrative, patient care, circulation, data center, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing utility spaces.
Introba assessed the continued use of the existing systems and recommended near and long-term equipment replacement and system modification requirements as necessary. The final report included a description of required system modifications and preliminary order of magnitude cost estimate.
