Three Introba (formerly Integral Group) projects have been awarded First Place at the ASHRAE Golden Gate Chapter Technology Awards.

NUEVA SCHOOL | BAY MEADOWS CAMPUS

First Place – New Building, Educational

The Nueva School’s new Bay Meadows campus provides a beautiful, comfortable, and collaborative learning environment for students grades 9 through 12. Exterior sunshades double as wind scoops, and organic gardens biofiltrate storm water. Solar panels offset a large portion of the school’s energy use, and thermal chimneys capture wind to naturally ventilate the building.

Introba provided full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the project, as well as energy modeling and design of the photovoltaic (PV) array.

SAN FRANCISCO ART INSTITUTE | FORT MASON PIER 2 GRADUATE CENTER

First Place – Existing Building, Commercial

The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) transformed the Herbst Pavilion at Pier 2 into the school’s brand new Graduate Center. The building includes artist studios, installation spaces, a student lounge, and graduate faculty and staff offices. Exhibition galleries are open to the public and the community room has unobstructed views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Introba provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for a series of earlier renovations at Pier 2, and continued this scope of services for the SFAI Graduate Center.

LINKEDIN ZNE OFFICES | 880 MAUDE

First Place – Existing Building, Other Institutional

LinkedIn wanted their new Sunnyvale office to be both beautiful and energy efficient. In an effort to significantly reduce the building’s carbon footprint, they renovated an existing 1970’s concrete building. A 245 kW photovoltaic (PV) array was installed on the roof to offset the building’s energy needs. A large, vaulted atrium in the building’s center is filled with trees and plants, providing a biophilic space for casual meetings and shared meals.

Introba provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing concepts and full design of the electrical systems. We also performed daylighting design and sustainability consulting services.

Congratulations to Introba employees Stet Sanborn, Eric SolrainJohn Andary and the full design teams for each project on their achievements!
